Admissions at Summit Malibu
We strive to make admission to Summit Malibu as simple and straightforward as possible.
The admission process can begin with a simple phone call to Summit Malibu, where our addiction treatment specialists are always available for confidential consultation.
The staff at summit Malibu will help you determine the correct course of treatment, including all options and alternatives that are available.
Admission usually involves a consultation with a physician familiar with treatment for addiction and dual diagnosis/co-occurring disorders.
Summit Malibu maintains relationships with many independent physicians familiar with substance abuse and substance dependence, as well as with the many dual diagnosis and co-occurring disorders that often accompany substance disorders.
Our admission policies require screening for various conditions which might influence a client’s ability to make use of our services.
In cases where we determine that placement at Summit might be inappropriate, the client, their family and friends, and any supporting professionals such as their therapist will be consulted and provided with outside referrals that may better accommodate their specific needs.
Summit Malibu maintains professional relationships with several local treatment centers with specific therapeutic specialties and a variety of price options.
Payment and Insurance
Summit Malibu is a private pay facility and does not directly bill insurance companies. We are, however, associated with professional insurance coordinators who can assist clients in obtaining reimbursement for covered benefits.
If you have questions regarding insurance benefits, please call the Summit admissions counselor. They will be glad to answer any financial questions you may have.
If you have additional questions, or if you would like us to provide you with a no-cost, no-commitment, confidential consultation, please contact one of our treatment specialists.
